PIERRE — Lawmakers voted to pass the largest tax cut in South Dakota history, following the recommendation from five of their own to lower the overall sales tax from 4.5% to 4.2% until 2027. The House of Representatives voted 70-0 and the Senate voted 31-2 Thursday afternoon after days of negotiation on the final deal.
